Insta 360 Go 3S : The Tiny Titan of Travel
First off, let’s talk about the elephant in the room; SIZE! This is where we like to say, “size matters”! And depending on where you are when you want to capture the moment, this one has the size to perform when it counts! This little camera is literally the size of your thumb, and is so compact that it could easily hide in your pocket, next to those in-flight crackers you were saving for later and forgot about (definitely something that we’ve all done a time or two). Weighing in at a just 1.4 ounces or 35 grams, it’s like carrying a high-tech feather that captures 4K video! For us, it’s freedom – when we want to go light, we can focus on the fun instead of the logistics of lugging around a heavy camera with an intrusive setup.

As if the Insta 360 Go 3S isn’t enough on it’s own, this tiny camera turns into a versatile Go Pro-like action camera when mounted in its Action Pod! One of our favorite features has to be the flip screen that allows you to see what you’re recording on the Insta 360 Go 3S even when the camera itself is not in the Action Pod! We found this incredibly useful when trying to record ourselves vlogging in the car while making sure the Insta 360 Go 3S that we had mounted to the metal on the dashboard. Using the action pod, we could clearly see what the camera was seeing, and went on to creating and capturing, hands-free!

Insta 360 Go 3S : A Waterproof Wonder!
One of the coolest things about the Insta 360 Go 3S is that it’s WATERPROOF! This means, just like a Go Pro, you can take a dip with your new camera-bestie and capture it all! We threw on the Magnetic Pendant, attached the Go 3S and found Nemo, all while being hands-free! Ok, so we didn’t actually find Nemo, but we’ll keep you posted 🐠! You can go down as far as 16 meters or 197 feet! So, This camera can definitely keep up with you, and on a full charge, will last up to 2.33 hours, which is plenty for us in the water!
BEWARE! While the Insta 360 Go 3S itself is waterproof, but unlike a Go Pro, the Action Pod IS NOT! You’ll want to make sure that your camera is clean and dry before mounting it back into the Action Pod. This is a mistake that’s super easy to make! Don’t even take the action pod with you if you’re headed to the water, to avoid accidentally getting it wet and losing your Action Pod.

Insta 360 Go 3S : Cons but not dealbreakers
No Memory Card. The fact that the camera’s memory is internal and the footage can’t be stored or transferred through a memory card, kind of complicated things a bit for us. It didn’t take long to go through the storage, and so we ran into the issue of needing to transfer footage out to clear space in the middle of our trip. It’s definitely something to consider if you’ll be relying on it a lot.
The Action Pod Is Not Waterproof. The Insta 360 Go 3S, alone, is so tiny that we were worried about dropping it while underwater. The solution was easy, and we decided to mount the Insta 360 Go 3S onto the quick release mount, and then onto the Mini 2-in-1 Tripod. When wanted to go deeper, it did require an additional purchase. You can mount the camera onto the Mini 2-in-1 Tripod using an Insta 360 Go 3S Dive Case. With a Dive Case, we decided to use a Floating Handgrip with our Insta 360 Go 3S so that we didn’t have to worry about losing it deeper in the ocean.

The pros definitely outweigh the cons, and the creative doors that this tiny camera opens is well worth the investment!
